Mayo Comhairle na nÓg, as part of the National Lets Go Mental Events Programme #LetsGoMental2015 organised a free Colour Run and Outdoor Disco on Monday the 27th of July at 6.30 at Lough Lannagh Lake in Castlebar. iRadios Steven Cooper was their DJ at the disco. And as you can see from the pics, it was a phenomenal success.

This is how we brought to life the five-a-day for your mental health:

CONNECT: for our Colour Run, we asked all participants to invite their friends, siblings, family to come with them, to take part and to spend a fun evening with each other.

BE AWARE.
We encouraged all participants to take a minute to recognise what is going on around them, to be aware of their thoughts, what their senses are experiencing, to relax and just enjoy the moment.

GET MOVING
Our Colour Run certainly got people moving but in the mean time, why not go for walk with some of your friends, take your dog for a walk, go for a cycle or just have some fun dancing in your room to your favourite tunes.

GET INVOLVED
The best way to GET INVOLVED is to attend the Mayo Comhairle na nóg AGM in October. So Like our page and keep informed.

GIVE
At our Colour Run we asked all racers to give €2 to Mindspace Mayo and buy one of their wristbands. We all have many skills, talents and time we can give to our Community, so why ask your local club or organisation if they need a hand.
